The Shakamak State Park is comprised of man-made lakes that cover more than 400 acres of its area. The Shakamak State Park maintains an aquatic center that provides a venue for swimming activities. The park s possessions and facilities include a nature center, boat launch ramp, paddleboat, rowboat, hiking trails and cabins. It serves as a venue for organizing a variety of activities that includes tennis, fishing and boating. Located in Jasonville, Ind., the park is a place for conducting picnics and camps. The Shakamak State Park is owned and operated by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, which maintains various parks, inns and reservoirs.
