Irwin Library, founded in 1963, is part of the Butler University Libraries and supports the educational goals of Butler University by providing facilities, services, resources, technology and educational opportunities that facilitate access to information. The library includes the business, education, liberal arts, social sciences, music and fine arts collections, as well as audio and video facilities and the curriculum resource center. It is also a United States government depository, houses the John S. Wright great books room, and includes Hugh Thomas Miller rare books and special collections room. The library offers integrated workstations, with access to the online catalogs, remote databases, full-text journal article databases, and Internet access. It is located in Indianapolis.
