Plainfield Correctional Facility, operated by the Indiana Department of Correction, is a low, medium security complex with moderate degrees of security measures. It houses offenders who are less aggressive and have shorter sentences and criminal histories. Established in 1964, Plainfield Correctional Facility has an average daily population of more than 1,400 and features dormitory housing options. The facility provides religious, anger management and vocational training services. It administers the Sex Offender Containment & Accountability Program (SOCAP), as well as offers college courses. The facility also coordinates cognitive behavioral and faith- and character-based re-entry programs. Plainfield Correctional Facility additionally operates a Bible drama club for inmates.
