Pendleton Players is an extracurricular theatre interest group affiliated with the Pendleton Heights High School Performing Arts Department in Pendleton, IN. Led by Auditorium and Theatre Program Director Jacque Brown, this group offers students the opportunity to engage in various aspects of performance and technical theatre, presenting three productions annually and providing technical assistance for other auditorium events. Students interested in technical theatre can participate in activities such as set building, lighting design, sound design, and stage management, while those interested in performing can audition for roles.
In addition to Pendleton Players, the community also has the Pendleton Community Players, a group that produces a summer production open to individuals of all ages. Supported in part by a grant from the South Madison Community Foundation, this inclusive project aims to provide a stage for everyone, regardless of age. The high school also has a local troupe of the International Thespian Society, which recognizes students who excel in theatre work and offers membership opportunities through their involvement in theatre activities.
