The Mt. Vernon Transfer Terminal is a coal loading terminal on the Ohio River at Mount Vernon, Ind. It delivers coal through rail and truck transportation. The terminal has a capacity of more than 8 million tons annually with existing ground storage systems. It is a subsidiary of Alliance Resource Partners. It is a producer and marketer of steam coal to a variety of utilities and industries in the United States. The company has a wide range of coal production and mining complexes in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Maryland. It also offers reserves and technology production products of more than 290 billion tons.
