History
The Monroe County Humane Association Minor Medical Clinic operates on a low-cost model. If your pet is injured or ill, veterinary medical services are available only for pet owners that can show proof of a limited income, participation in a government assistance program, or extreme circumstances. Veterinary services are available for any ear-tipped community or feral cat, regardless of the caretakers income. Traditional exam fees are waived, and clients are asked to pay for the diagnostics and medication that their pet may require for care. Wellness services such as vaccines, flea and heartworm prevention are open to the public, regardless of financial standing. However, there is a $15 exam fee per pet.
