Memorial Children's Therapy Center is part of Beacon Children’s Hospital, the region’s only comprehensive children’s hospital. Adjacent to Memorial Hospital in downtown South Bend, the center is staffed by certified therapists in physical, speech and occupational therapy who understand the complex nature of your child’s rehabilitation needs. Therapy includes a variety of interventions, individualized treatments and equipment to help your child perform to their potential. The newborn follow-up clinic is a clinic that is staffed by NICU nurses and therapists that provides regular screenings for babies discharged from the NICU who meet certain qualifications. The babies are seen at 3 and 6 month intervals until their 2nd birthday. The clinic consults with neonatologists from the NICU and reports directly to the baby's pediatrician on their developmental progress. Memorial Outpatient Specialty Diner (MOS Diner) is a clinic designed to evaluate and treat children with feeding difficulties, who do not respond well to traditional weekly therapy. The team is comprised of professionals with specialize in working with children with oral-motor, sensory and/or nutritional feeding difficulties. The team consists of a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist and dietitian. A physician's office may make a referral to the clinic by calling the clinic scheduler at 574.647.5007.
