History
2015 marks the 95th year that professional services have been provided to the community from the building located at 110 West Main Street (next to the Post Office), in historic downtown Bainbridge Indiana. The law Office of Chris Lotzow is proud to continue this great tradition. Originally built by the National Spotted Poland-China records association as the repository for breeding and registration records, the building is a substantial brick structure with a massive vault to safeguard these important records. The vault subsequently made the building a good location for the Bank of Bainbridge until conglomeration brought Tri-County Bank to the new bank building on the east side of Bainbridge. An accounting office (the Lents firm) put the facility to good use after that for nearly 25 years, until its most recent use as home to my Law Office. With such a long and rich history, I welcome any stories about this important part of our community's past.
Specialties
I am Attorney Chris Lotzow, and I am pleased to bring skilled and compassionate legal services in the areas of Bankruptcy, Debtor's Rights, Social Security Disability, Family Law, and Divorces, to rural Hoosier communities in West-Central Indiana. I am also proud to introduce my services as a V.A. accredited Disability Claims attorney, serving the needs of our service members who served to protect me and my family. Whatever your personal financial situation is, you need to know that you have rights as a debtor, and AS A PERSON. It is your right to file Bankruptcy, request any relevant Social Security or Veteran's Disability Benefits, and even to Sue Abusive Debt Collectors. Three things to remember: 1. Having debt DOES NOT make you a criminal. 2. Going broke paying off old debt will NEVER fix your credit. 3. There is no shame in letting me help you. They have lawyers, shouldn't YOU? In addition to the other services I provide, I help protect the rights of regular people who are being abused by Debt Collectors. I will pursue your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (the FDCPA - look it up on google). The FDCPA sets out many rules that control how, when, and where Debt Collectors can contact you, and those rules also regulate what types of language they can use when they do contact you. If they have broken these laws, THEY will have to pay me to get you as much as the $1,000 the law says they owe you. Call and let me start fighting for you TODAY!
