History Established in 1973, Interstate Cold Storage is a family owned public refrigerated warehouse company, headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN. The company was originally founded by Vincent Tippmann, who now serves as company chairman. Mr. Tippmann's experience includes over 40 years of practice in the refrigeration and heat transfer business. He is also credited with numerous industry related patents, many of which are used today by major corporations around the world. Among IARW members, Interstate Cold Storage ranks among the largest 25 public cold storage warehousing companies in North America, with five locations and nearly 22, 000, 000ft 3 of refrigerated space. In January of 2009, we welcomed the first member of our family's 4th generation of refrigeration experts to the Interstate team. We remain committed to our family values and look forward to the day our 5th generation can call Interstate Cold Storage their home too.
