Indiana University Libraries is one of the leading academic research library systems in North America. It features a variety of collections, as well as provides instructional programs. The system operates the Herman B Wells Library, which has more than 4.5 million volumes in the fields of African, East Asian, West European, Russian and East European, and Uralic and Altaic studies. Indiana University Libraries also maintains music, fine arts, education and chemistry libraries. Its research collections include over 6 million books in nearly 900 languages. The system s collections include journals, maps, films and sound recordings. Indiana University Libraries provides borrowing, renewing, distance education, computing, printing, copying and scanning services. It is a member of the Association of Research Libraries.
