The Indiana Family Health Council, Inc, ( IFHC ) is a private, non-profit corporation governed by a statewide Board of Directors comprised of up to twenty-five members. IFHC is an advocate for family planning services for the individuals in need of these services and for providers of medical, educational and counseling services. IFHC receives and administers the federal funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for family planning services. The Council contracts with non-profit and/or public agencies to provide family planning services for low-income working poor and teens. The IFHC system provides contraception, STD testing and treatment, screening for cervical and breast cancer, screening for testicular and prostate cancer, pregnancy testing, counseling and referral for other health services.
