Founded in 1975, the Indiana Resource Center for Families with Special Needs provides services to parents, families and service providers with the information and training necessary to help assure effective educational programs and appropriate services for children and young adults with disabilities. It organizes seminars and workshops that offer information on several topics and issues, such as advocacy, aging, autism, challenging behaviors, clinical issues, early intervention, health care, positive behavioral support, self-determination, sensory integration, sexuality and socialization, spectrum disorders and workforce matters. The Indiana Resource Center additionally publishes a regular newsletter that includes several related reports and articles. The organization is based in South Bend, Ind.
