Incorporated in 1936, Henry County REMC is a social welfare electric cooperative organization serving the consumers who are also its members. The cooperative serves 9,644 residential, commercial and industrial accounts of Henry County in Indiana and the surrounding counties. It operates more than 1,000 miles of overhead and underground lines and offers non-permanent services for facilities such as campsites, grain bins and summer home. It also offers services for new constructions, locates electric and utility lines in case of digging or planting of trees and continuous trimming and removal of trees under power lines to make electric services as reliable as possible.
