Dr. Diana Burtea was raised in the suburbs of Chicago. She attended Northwestern University for both her undergraduate degree and medical studies as part of their Honors Program in Medical Education. Dr. Burtea completed family medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and practiced in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin for two years prior to joining the faculty at Community Health Network Family Medicine Residency Program in 2001. Dr. Burtea served as the program director for the Family Medicine Residency Program from 2007 – 2013. She enjoys practicing the full spectrum of family medicine, caring for patients of all ages. She has a special interest in women’s health and management of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. Dr. Burtea’s philosophy of care is to be a trusted friend and advisor to her patients to help them achieve their health goals. Dr. Burtea, her husband Jim, and their daughters Cassie and Stephanie, reside in Carmel. When not cheering on their daughters, Jim and Diana can often be found cheering on the Colts and Pacers.
