ECO Lake Park in Elizabethtown, IN is a 127-acre natural resource area offering a range of recreational amenities. With a nine-acre lake, visitors can enjoy fishing and boating, thanks to the public access site created in partnership with the IDNR. The park also features playgrounds, a basketball court, sand volleyball, and a baseball/softball field, as well as a newly added playground complex. Additionally, ECO Lake Park offers a trail system, with 1.5 miles cleared in 2023 and plans for further expansion in the future.
As a lightly developed park, ECO Lake Park is focused on preserving its natural beauty, with older stands of timber and newer growth sections. The park's upgrades are currently funded through the JCPR budget, with major improvements dependent on grants. While rock climbing has been suspended at the nearby Muscatatuck Park, ECO Lake Park continues to provide a variety of recreational opportunities for visitors to enjoy.
