Established in 1891, Danville Fire Department provides fire protection services and aid in civil defense emergencies. Based in Danville, Ind., the organization has around three stations. It specializes in providing complete Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training to its members. Additionally, the department provides special fire operations, such as surface water rescue, ice rescue, high/low angle rope rescue, vehicle/machinery rescue and confined spaces, to name a few. Danville Fire Department also conducts special knock box program as well as fire protection equipment to the residents of the area.
