History
Concord was founded as an early settlement house for Black American & Appalachian American families who migrated north, and Jewish and German families who immigrated to the near-Southside for employment in a developing industrial sector. Since its inception--and still presently--Concord provides an array of responsive, age-appropriate education, health, social and recreational opportunities to help all residents thrive. Today, Concord is an independently operated neighborhood center focused on the near-Southside of Indianapolis. It is the south-most such agency in Indianapolis, IN.
