Community and Family Resources Department serves to identify the community's social needs and to help develop solutions to address these needs. The department administers social service and child care programs, distributes informative publications, and offers consultation and training services to the social service community. This child care assistance program helps low-income working parents or student parents by paying all or part of their child care expenses. Children up to 13-years are provided services in child care homes and centers with financial assistance provided by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. The department provides various services, including informational services, governmental services, assisting people with disabilities, correctional services, legal services, thrift shops and bargain outlets. Community and Family Resources Department is based in Bloomington, Ind.
