Established in 1975, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Wayne is a nonprofit organization offers a variety of services for children atrisk. It serves Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties in Indiana. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Wayne administers a community-based mentoring program that serves more than 300 community members every year. Additionally, it supports a school-based mentoring program that includes recreational, health, community and academic activities. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Wayne conducts the Bowl for Kids Sake event, which is a nationwide fundraising activity. Located in Fort Wayne, Ind., the organization is an affiliated agency of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, which is one of the leading mentoring organizations for children in the United States.
