The Franklin County Housing Authority owns and manages more than 680 senior and family public housing apartments in more than five communities in Franklin County, Ill. Its Section 8 program subsidizes rents to private landlords. The authority s Family Self-Sufficiency program is designed to assist families in becoming economically self-sufficient through job training and placement, high school equivalency classes, child care, transportation and other supportive services.
