When our paths would cross over the years while working at many of the same events around Chicago, we would often discuss all the ways we could make the entire event process better--from the planning, food and beverage, sustainability, design, budgets and, of course, the actual event itself. Two years later, those innovative ideas, resulting from our combined 60 years of experience in the hospitality industry--Maria Collins on planning, Bob Krause on sales, Maurizio Fiori at the bar and Nick Schmuck in the kitchen--find a home at Walden.

Walden is a 19,000-square-foot two-story event space that brings all the major components of an elevated event--full-service event planning, chef-driven cuisine, a modern beverage program, curated rentals and expert, professional staffing--under one beautiful, environmentally friendly West Town roof hosting up to 300 for seated parties and 500 for cocktail-style receptions.
