Since 2008, David Hemphill has led the Valley Baptist Church congregation after relocating from Powell, Tenn. The church traces its roots back to 1970 when the first service was held in a community room in Montgomery. The current location is also home to The Kingsway Bible Bookstore. The church currently supports 51 missions worldwide.
