The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce is Southern Madison County's largest business association. With roots dating back to 1924, the Chamber has stood as the voice of business, supporting its members' success and championing community prosperity for over 85 years. The Chamber represents nearly 575 businesses, and our strategic partners include the U.S. and Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Lewis and Clark Community College, Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois, The Alliance of Edwardsville & Glen Carbon, Small Business Administration, Small Business Administration, and the Tourism Bureau of Southwestern Illinois. WHY JOIN THE CHAMBER? When consumers know that a small business is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future. If a company demonstrates that it is highly involved in its local chamber, consumers are 12% more likely to believe that its products stack up better against competition. When consumers know that a restaurant franchise is a member of the local chamber, they are 40% more likely to eat at the franchise in the next few months.
