Tazewell Machine Works is a manufacturer of rough or machined aluminum sand castings and commercial water-jacketed and pressure tight castings. The company was founded in 1945 by Henry F. and Blanche M. Cakora as a jobbing machine shop. In order to better serve customers, a non-ferrous foundry was added so that the company did not have to rely on other foundries to procure their castings. Tazewell Machine Works is owned by the Cakora family and has an experienced work force and management team with more than 150 combined years of service experience. The company services numerous industries and has more than 100 customers. Headquartered in Pekin, Ill., Tazewell Machine Works is privately owned and employs nearly 80 people.
