Hooks holds a B.A. in Business Writing for the Private and Nonprofit Sectors and a M.A. in Communicating Strategies, Techniques, and Methodologies for Business Writing for the Private and Nonprofit Sectors. Both of her degrees are from DePaul University. She has consulted to and for nonprofits in a variety of grant solicitation formats that include grant writing, strategic planning, development, and board and policy formation. Ms. Hooks has influenced grant procurement for faith based organizations, and secured donations for a number of Chicago inner-city nonprofit organizations.
