Established in 1968, Montessori Children's Schoolhouse is a parent-owned, nonprofit educational center that provides alternative education to students in pre-kindergarten through grade sixth. It offers Montessori education for students in northwest Indiana and Illinois. The school provides classes in sensorial awareness, language arts, reading, math, geography, social studies and science. It additionally offers a before and after school program to assist students with their homework and outdoor activities.
