St. Mary of Vernon serves the Vernon Hills Catholic community. It conducts daily masses, as well as Saturday reconciliations (confession). Additional sacraments include anointing of the sick, confirmation, Eucharist, marriages and infant baptisms. St. Mary additionally conducts masses for the deaf. It is lead by Father Joseph Curtis.

Lakeview Presbyterian Church

At Lakeview Presbyterian Church, the congregation meets every week to worship, learn and serve God. The church has a Sunday school, as well as small groups for children and adults that meet regularly. The church aims to be a big part of the community. All are welcome.

Crosslife Evangelical Free Church

The Evangelical Free Church of Libertyville's mission is "to build a community of Christ-followers to reach a culture in need of God's presence." Seven elders provide spiritual leadership and govern the organization, and five salaried members lead the ministries dedicated to helping adults, youths and children to grow in relationship to Jesus Christ. Sunday worship starts at 9am and children's church education starts at 9:20am.

United Methodist Church of Libertyville

United Methodist Church of Libertyville is the oldest church in the community. It was established in 1836 with a vision that is about "Lifting Up Christ, Using Our Gifts, and Ministering to All." The church has classes for children and adults, as well as traditional and contemporary worship services. There are programs for youths, couples, adults and seniors, including All-Stars for Jesus, a youth fellowship program whose members meet to grow their relationship with Jesus and each other through discovering the Bible. The church also has a Go Green Team that works on improving how the church community treats the environment. Since the team was established in 2008, the church has started using fair trade coffee for its coffee hour, installed bike racks to promote biking, and eliminated the use of foam cups.
