Batavia Covenant Preschool

This not-for-profit weekday child care facility is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to serve the community. The pre-school offers a Christian environment for children to grow and develop through play in a secure and safe surrounding. Batavia Covenant Church began almost 140 years ago when a small group of people met with the idea to form a church to help the homeless after the Great Chicago Fire. The group moved to this current location37 years ago, where the pre-school is located.

Bethany Lutheran Church

Bethan Lutheran Church is located on the corner of Elmhurst Street and Crystal Lake Avenue, with a large parking area and a fenced in playground. The church also houses a preschool, and offers several choirs and music opportunities, including a world class pipe organ recently acquired with the help of an Organ Task Force. Bethany's ministries include those to youth and seniors, and they are active in global missions to Tanzania, Costa Rica, and Guyana. They are also active locally with such organizations as PADS, Meals on Wheels and the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
