Since 1976, Sodick has manufactured over 40,000 electrical discharge machines (EDM). The company s machines are used for the production of dies and molds and other various applications, which cannot be produced by standard machining methods. Sodick manufactures several wire EDM models, computer numerically controlled sinker EDM s, small hole EDM s and high-speed mills. Sodick's North American headquarters is located in Schaumburg, Ill., which is conveniently located 20 minutes from Chicago's O'hare airport. The headquarters houses a $5 million parts inventory that ensures consumable and replacement parts are readily available. The company has a Northeastern technical center in Rockaway, N.J., and a West Coast technical center in Brea, Calif.
