Lewis & Clark Marine, established in 1990, is a privately held firm that is engaged in the Inland Marine and Commodity Handling Industries. The shareholders are actively involved in the daily operation and management of the business. Under the Lewis & Clark Marine umbrella, there are four companies. Lewis & Clark Marine Service is engaged in the fleeting and switching of barges within the St. Louis Harbor from Mile 160 to Mile 200 on the upper Mississippi River. Bulk Service, located in Granite City, Ill., is engaged in the transfer of dry bulk commodities from rail and truck to barge. Bulk Service of Tyler Street, located in St. Louis, is an extension of Bulk Service. Bulk Service of Tyler Street is an operating company that is affiliated with Lewis & Clark Marine through common ownership and management. Mid-Coast Terminal Company, located in Granite City, Ill., is engaged in the transfer of general commodities and dry bulk material to and from barges, railcars and truck.
