Clow Elementary School, which serves children in kindergarten through fifth grades, opened in 1979 in honor of Robert E. Clow, the board president for Wheatland Elementary District 40. Wheatland Schools consolidated with two other districts — Granger Elementary District and Indian Plains Elementary District — in 1972. The mission of the school today is to help students become self-directed learners who can problem solve and effectively communicate with both their peers and elders.
