History
ReHome Center's founders have volunteered at non-profit agencies for over 20 years and have seen how people can live with so little. Sometimes the so little is too little. It is not healthy for anyone. They know that most low income people are grateful for what they have. And if they have to ask for something, they usually really need it. It is not a comfort but a need. People who have items love to give them to people who could use them, but they don't know how to do that. ReHome offers people the opportunity to donate household items and furnishing to people who could truly use them. ReHome Center knows the chosen recipients have been working with health care agencies and community agencies and that they are in need of items to help them maximize their experience of life so they can lessen stresses and focus on the future.
Specialties
ReHome will obtain household items from people who no longer can use them and supply them to low income clients recommended by other agencies. Many of the agencies we work with have people who are being treated for health issues or may be transitioning into low income housing after some unfortunate life experience.
