Reavis High School District is one of the leading educational institutions in the United States. Formerly known as Cook County School District, it is located in Burbank, Ill. A one-school district, Reavis High offers academic and cocurricular programs for students in grades nine through 12. The school is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Its facilities include more than 100 classrooms, computer and science laboratories, technology-based library, a gymnasium, auditorium, Olympic-size swimming pool and an automotive workshop. Its curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, foreign languages, history, geography, economics, agricultural and industrial arts, physical and health education, music, and arts and crafts. Reavis High School organizes various activities and events, such as musical concerts, alumni banquet, knowledge bowl, spelling bee, junior-senior banquet, senior trips, state fine arts and academic competitions, band and choir concerts, and National Honor Society.
