History
The great old stucture that is now Prairie Avenue Antiques, was home to Kraft Feed & Dry Goods all the way up to 1982, when Blue Toad Antiques opened. In 1998 the building and business changed hands and Prairie Avenue Antiques opened! In 2004, the current owner and manager began leading the store the #1 rated Antique Shop in McHenry County. Janet is a dedicated antiquer, helping form and serving as President to the Hebron Antique and Specialty District, (HASD). The HASD group kicked off Hebron Country Market in the spring of 2009 and hopes to continue this fun event again in 2010-running from 9AM-~2PM on the 2nd SAT. from May thru October right in downtown Hebron. Janet is also currently serving as President of the IL Questers, an antique study, preservation and restoration not for profit organization, (www.ILQuesters.org). Janet is also on the Board of the McHenry County Visitor and Convention Bureau.

Prairie Avenue Antiques is housed in a turn of the century former Feed & Dry Goods store located on the corner of Rt 47 & Prairie Ave in quaint Hebron, IL. This is a mutli dealer shop with a wide range of very attractively priced antiques, furniture and collectibles. New old things are added every day so there is an ever changing array ranging from fine crystal, silver, stained glass, etc to rough primitives, to tools, jewelry, kitchen items, etc. One could furnish a home from bare walls or just add that special piece to an established home! Consignment sale and out right purchase of your unwanted treasures is also possible.
