Mount St. Joseph is a nonprofit intermediate care facility with a capacity of 130 beds for senior citizens and developmentally disabled individuals and is located in Lake Zurich, Ill. It is inspected and licensed by the Illinois department of public health as an intermediate care facility. Founded in 1926, the facility is owned and operated by the Congregation of the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence. It provides a variety of services, including medical, psychologial, religious and social services; aquatics; dietary; music, physical, occupational, speech and recreation therapies; and arts, crafts, ceramics and sewing programs. The facility also provides the services of a podiatrist, optometrist and an ophthalmologist. Mount St. Joseph is a Catholic facility and Catholic religious services are available to all Catholic residents regularly.
