History
Mother Hubbards was a Mexican Restaurant in an area that was mostly a low end area of River North. It was transformed from the Hubbard St Cantina to Mother HUbbards when present management took over. BBQ RIBS, BURGERS,Soups and salads and a big dose of Sports were added to the menu. The Chicago Tribune described Mother Hubbards as a great neighborhood pub without a neighborhood. The 28 satellite receivers are more than any other place in the area. And that doesn't included that Versus Network on cable for Blackhawks games! Many new places have appeared in the last few years, but Mother HUbbards is still the Neighborhood Pub with great food and Sports that it was concepted to be. Mother Hubbards has a history of keeping its kitchen open for the bartenders and waitstaff of the newer Hubbard St places. The kitchen is open until 4 AM. Kathleen Fitzpatrick, a wee lass, still calls the shots. She is in her 17 year of ownership of her Neighborhood pub
