History
We celebrate every Thursday like its Friday and every Friday like it's New Year's. There's always a new face -- and a familiar one too. You might see IIT students sharing a pitcher of Pabst Blue Ribbon on a weekday or a couple on a weekend date, sipping velvety Grey Goose martinis. Mitchell's has a spacious outdoor, brick patio that has become the perfect compliment during baseball season. Inside, the pub is fashioned with warm amber tones and deep dark wood throughout, accompanied by black-and-white photos hung on the wall. There's a 30-foot bar, and several tables adjacent to the wall where groups can get the perfect view of the game on one of our five plasma-screen televisions. We pour a Guinness better than just about anyone in Chicago -- frothy head with sharp black body -- and take pride in our 110-plus selections of beer and the Jager Machine is always buzzing with activity.
