Metamora IGA is a full-service supermarket that offers baked goods, fresh produce, entrees, sliced cheese, sandwiches, pasta, seafood and a variety of meat. Additionally, it sells grocery items, frozen food, snacks, ice cream, processed food, and health and beauty products. It is located in Metamora, Ill., and has been a part of Kirby Foods since 1979. Kirby Foods was founded in 1969 by Jerry W. Scribner, when he purchased the first store that became Kirby IGA Foodliner in Champaign, Ill. Currently, Kirby Foods operates 19 stores, which include 14 IGA and five Save-A-Lot stores throughout central Illinois and western Indiana. Metamora IGA is affiliated with the Independent Grocers Alliance.
