Memorial Park offers plenty of sports and recreational activities, from baseball to sand volleyball to swimming. The park features a children's swimming pool with spraying frogs, a tire swing and a tube slide. A locker room is available for swimmers (bring your own lock) and there is a concession stand in the summer. A path winds around the park for joggers, walkers and cyclists, with plenty of shade trees. There is a fishing pond with a pier for fishing enthusiasts, and kids love the large playground. The park also hosts Oak Lawn's annual Memorial and Independence Day celebrations.
