Dr. Matthew McKnight was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois graduating from Marmion Academy in 2001. He then graduated from Washington University in St. Louis 2005 and the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2011, obtaining his D.D.S. (Doctorate in Dental Surgery). He completed both his M.D. (Doctorate in Medicine) 2014 and general surgery internship 2015 from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and affiliated hospitals. Lastly, he completed his advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois in 2017 with training at Northwestern, Christ Advocate, Jesse Brown VA, and the University of Illinois Hospitals. He then was excited to open his own practice, McKnight Oral Surgery.

McKnight, DDS, MD, practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures. Dr. McKnight has extensive training and utilizes the newest techniques and state of the art virtual planning for all types of surgical cases including dental implants, orthognathic, trauma and benign pathology. Dr. McKnight is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery board, and he is eligible to become a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. McKnight's staff is trained in assisting with I.V. sedation within our state-of-the-art office setting.
