I'd been going there and buying their products for many years until I had to give up driving due to a spinal issue. My daughter now picks up whatever I would like. She loves them also....

Since 1930, our family has been baking quality products for dessert lovers like you. Our story begins with my father-in-law, John Slove, being hired to work as an apprentice in a Chicago bakery. While there he learned everything there is to know about baking. Then, in 1946, he and my mother-in-law, Grace, opened their own bakery on Diversey Avenue in Chicago - Slove Bakery. Their goal was to produce great quality desserts and provide excellent customer service: he did the baking; she the hand shaking. Through hard work and determination they grew the business and the bakery's reputation as one of the finest in the Chicagoland area.

The experience was fine but I just can't go there anymore. Cakes are OVER the top expensive. They are dry and more frosting than cake. They need to do better.

I've been going to love in oven since the 1970s I just came in today they've downsized everything and they kept the same price I'm so sick of this place.
