Established in 1831, the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that operates a jail that provides detention facility for pretrial detainees and convicted criminals. The sheriff s office supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior.
