La Trattoria Italian Restaurant's goal is to make every customer feel like a member of the family. Mariano and Theresa came from Italy in the 1970s, part of a family of restaurateurs. They follow a tradition of making every dish to order using fresh ingredients. The ambience of dark wood, tablecloths and the welcoming hum of conversation embraces every guest. The result is delicious food, a loyal following and a business so successful that La Trattoria was honored with the Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Award in 2010. To try to describe the variety offered on the menu is folly. It begins with appetizers such as grilled octopus and mozzarella caprese. Meat ravioli, penne arrabiata and spaghetti putanesca are highlights of the pasta, while shrimp fra diavolo and linguine with clams help round out the seafood offerings. Chicken in its many delicious forms can be had. Tiramisu, gelato and spumoni await at the end. With a full bar and extensive wine list, plus a Late-Night Munchies menu after 9 pm, La Trattoria Italian Restaurant opens its arms to you and says, "Come in. Eat. How have you been?"
