The Kendall County Animal Control enforces state rabies vaccination laws and county ordinances against dogs running at large in residential, unincorporated areas. All dogs are required to wear rabies tags off the owners' property.
Animal Control staff also take reports on dog bites and pick up stray pets in contained areas. The staff runs a shelter from which stray animals may be adopted.
Hours for viewing animals available for adoption are: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
