Katlyn A. Smith, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery. She completed her medical training at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. As a physician assistant, Katlyn sees patients ages 18 and above for a variety of injuries, defects, or disease of the joints, bones, muscles, and tendons. Katlyn helps manage arthritis, bone fractures, hip and knee disorders, and ligament injuries. Katlyn chose orthopedics because she is passionate about athletics and has observed many types of injuries while playing basketball in college. She wants to help patients return to regular activity and improve their quality of life. Katlyn believes effective patient care begins with a good, trusting relationship. She creates treatment plans based on collective decisions with her patients, and she strives to give patients confidence and encouragement through the healing and recovery process. Katlyn is originally from northwest Indiana and has lived in Florida and Georgia for the last ten years. Katlyn and her husband are excited to be living and raising their daughter in the Midwest. She enjoys attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville games with her family. Katlyn A.
