HistoryI began teaching jazz piano because my experience as a performer was as a jazz musician. At some point my jazz students expressed interest in classical piano as well, so now I teach both. I also discovered that most pianists lack opportunities to play with other musicians, so I created recitals at which my students perform with a professional upright bassist. Prior to these recitals, the students are required to attend a Master Class with myself and the bassist.SpecialtiesI specialize in teaching jazz piano to adults. I also teach classical piano, and am comfortable teaching beginners. My approach to teaching is based on my experience as a performer.
