History
Originally Karate for Kids in Batavia, we moved 2 doors east in 2009 and became Initial TKD Martial Arts. Certified Chief Instructor Ke Roth is a Fourth Degree Black Belt (and a mom who started doing Taekwondo in her forties so she could spend time with her son as he studied his martial arts); Certified Instructor D. Roth is a Third Degree Black Belt who also teaches weapons, self-defense and sparring (and is Ms Ke's son). With our unusual perspective of understanding the needs of both parents and children as martial arts students and the challenges families face in the world today, we work to create a classroom that is exciting, fun and educational while allowing you to learn in an environment that respects the individual and ever-changing needs modern families face.
