This same intersection had a second sign 100 yards from the actual traffic light as well in Elk Grove Village.

Notice how the intersection of Higgins and Arlington heights rd has a sign on it's light pole.

This photo here shows how the photo enforced sign is 7 to 8 feet high as opposed to being eye level, where you can see it at night.

If you look at this photo there is no photo enforced traffic lights sign on the traffic light pole of Higgibs Rd.

This light from the village of Hoffman Estates purposely put their cameras 8 feet in their on the pole so you can't see them!

More than 50,000 residents in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and a population of more than 67,000 in the daytime are served by the Hoffman Estates Police Department. The department consists of more than 100 full-time sworn officers, nearly 50 civilian personnel, approximately 40 vehicles and two canine units. It serves a land area of 22.1 square miles. The village of Hoffman Estates was incorporated in 1959, at which time a formal police department was established. The initial employees hired as sworn police officers came from previous police backgrounds. The newly formed force was composed of approximately 10 officers.
