Founded in 1975, the Hinsdale Historical Society is dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of Hinsdale. It maintains three historic buildings, including the Hinsdale History Museum, which houses the Society's archive; the R. Harold Zook Home and Studio, designed by a noted Hinsdale architect in 1924; and Immanuel Hall, which is home to the Roger & Ruth Anderson Architecture Center. It was founded by a group of residents in 1975.
