The Hinckley Fire Department provides fire suppression and emergency medical services for more than 2,500 citizens in an area of over 64 square miles. The department conducts training sessions in the areas of firefighter rescue, search, ladder work and placement and victim carry. It responds to nearly 200 emergency calls annually, as well as provides advanced life support treatment and transportation services. The department consists of a fire chief, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. It maintains a fleet of engines, pumpers, aerial and brush trucks, tankers and ambulances. Hinckley Fire Department offers a cadet program that focuses on the development of firefighting skills. The department is located in Hinckley, Ill.
